Bundestag meets Awatree...

Well, not everyone was there ;) Last week we had Anja Schulz (FDP) , member of the Bundestag, as a guest at the Celle StartUp Center 'Fachwork'.

Ms Schulz asked Monique Hilse from the economic development agency of the city of Celle about the exciting project 'Fachwork', after which there was a lively exchange with the two start-ups.

In addition to a short pitch in which Daniel Brand introduced AWATREE , it was important to Ms Schulz to find out how politics can better support founders and start-ups. A good discussion ensued , which covered topics such as bureaucratic hurdles, time-consuming funding procedures and much more. Ms Schulz took a lot of topics with her and was ultimately positive about finding young entrepreneurs in Celle who are venturing into self-employment.

Our conclusion: A great exchange and we would like to see more of it so that we, young entrepreneurs and start-ups, are heard and politicians do not focus exclusively on large-scale industry and tried-and-tested SMEs. We live in very disruptive times, especially in the world of technology, which makes it all the more important for Germany as a business location to remove one or two obstacles from the path of young, innovative companies.

Thank you very much Anja Schulz and Raphael Wedemeyer for your visit! You are always welcome.
