IFAT 2024: Hauraton announces technology partnerships

Hauraton, one of the leading providers of rainwater treatment, is expanding its portfolio to include holistic rainwater management. The company announced this today at the global environmental trade fair IFAT in Munich with the announcement of two new technology partnerships with the companies Awatree and Premier Tech. Hauraton is thus continuing to consistently implement its corporate vision: away from pure drainage and towards holistic rainwater management concepts with the treatment, infiltration, retention and reuse of rainwater.

Awatree specializes in digitization in the field of smart cities. The cooperation develops digital solutions that measure and control rainwater in terms of quantity and quality. " The cooperation with Awatree aims to digitally plan the rainwater management of the future and develop suitable services," said Marcus Reuter, Chairman of the Hauraton Management Board. "In this way, the blue-green infrastructures of the future can be designed to be functionally reliable and existing resources can be used in an environmentally friendly way." In the cooperation, Awatree also takes over the technical implementation with the development or adaptation of sensors (temperature, fill level, water quality, etc.) and actuators, the programming of interfaces and algorithms as well as the output formats.

In the sales partnership with Premier Tech, the company's large-volume rainwater tanks will be included in Hauraton's product range and integrated into complex overall solutions for large-scale projects. "Premier Tech's flat tanks ideally complement our products in terms of water retention. They can be perfectly combined with our other product solutions and equipped with sensors from Awatree," explained Marcel Flattich, Hauraton's new Managing Director for Sales and Marketing. "Hauraton brings together the expertise of both areas and provides the interface."

Expansion of the offering through strategic partnerships

With these partnerships, Hauraton is responding to the increasing demands resulting from climate change. The aim is to offer customers cost-effective solutions to minimise the negative impact of heavy rain on infrastructure, people and the environment, especially in urban areas. With its own product ranges and the innovations from the new technology partnerships, Hauraton offers companies, cities and municipalities complex advice and systems for all challenges in the field of rainwater management from a single source.

This strategic step represents another milestone in Hauraton's approximately 70-year company history and underlines its commitment to offering the safest and most effective solutions for draining, cleaning, retaining, infiltrating and reusing rainwater.

Hauraton solutions allow precipitation to reach the ground cleanly, even in urban areas with sealed surfaces. Systems for surfaces and facades enable precipitation to be drained away. The company also offers filter channel systems and filter substrates that effectively protect groundwater from microplastics, heavy metals and other pollutants. Hauraton works closely with scientific institutions and research institutes during development to ensure the efficiency and quality of the products.

Awatree is an experienced specialist in digitization and supports the sustainable use of resources through the intelligent use of digital technologies. To this end, Awatree works with partners to develop digital innovations and new business models and supports them from the idea to implementation. With its own proof of concept, which is also the namesake, Awatree has proven itself and successfully implemented its own idea: For several years, a smart irrigation bench has been saving city trees across Germany through the clever use of technology and conserving valuable resources in the process.

www.premiertechaqua.com Premier Tech offers sustainable, local solutions in rainwater management and wastewater technology, among other things. These protect sensitive resources such as groundwater through targeted rainwater use to reduce drinking water consumption. Premier Tech is considered the inventor of modern flat tanks and has received awards for bionic design, which increases the stability and durability of the tanks and reduces material consumption.
